Pharmaco what?

Then end of my day is soon approaching. Soon, I will be crawling into bed from exhaustion because I tend to get that way now once 11pm rolls around. I have been studying a lot for my upcoming pharmacology test. It's the first one for this semester and you know how those are... you never know exactly how the test is going to be...detailed or more general concepts? So in my worry and anxiety, I have been trying to learn as detailed as I can. Although, I have been study for about 2 weeks now, there is SO much information--I still feel like I need more time. Thankfully, I do. The test is not until Wednesday. Oh man, I can't wait til that test is over!

On a lighter note, I am excited because today I went to Joanns and bought wooden letters to spell out Skyler. I also bought paint (teal and chocolate brown) to make them look cool. =) Eventually that will get done...but who knows when. Also, I'm very excited because tomorrow I am going to IKEA. I love IKEA. We have one in Michigan now, but it is like 40 minutes away--so it is a special occasion when you go. So, needless to say, I'm excited to be surrounded by affordable, put it together yourself, adorable furniture. I plan to purchase a few things....hopefully I'll keep it to a few. =)

Well, that's all for now folks! Sorry it may be slightly boring. I know IKEA and pharmacology are not exciting to all, but that's my life. =) Tomorrow I get to play volleyball and I'm very excited about that too! People always get a chuckle watching me, the preggo, play vball. Yeah yeah. (on a side note, for you worriers, I am a very safe preggo player...no diving, no overly exerting myself, etc etc)

Ok, for real now...I'm leaving! Have a great night!

Ugh...

Let me just say that while I'm typing this, I'm on hold with Onstar. Although this is a great service, our budget is tight and I don't want it anymore. But oh, when I went to check our bank account today, I find out that I was automatically enrolled for another year. I am so mad! I wasn't even asked if I wanted to renew the service. Ugh. So now, here I am waiting on hold forever just waiting to demand for my money back and to end the service. It's a good thing that I check our account daily because this has happened to me before! Seriously! It wasn't with Onstar, but with other companies. I guess they figure since it isn't noticed by most people.

UGGHHH...ok here's an update. I just finally got a hold of someone and I am not kidding, 1 minute into the conversation...our call was disconnected!!!!!! SERIOUSLY! So now, I'm on hold AGAIN. I suppose God is trying to teach me patience. The good news is that in that one minute conversation, the guy said it wouldn't be a problem to get refunded. I better get refunded. haha. Hopefully, I won't have to wait on hold for 20 minutes again. (I actually do need to study...but I can't when my ear is glued to the phone!)

Ok...it's finally taken care of. And, yes, I did get my refund. The man was actually quite nice, even though he did try to sell it to me at a slightly cheaper price. Oh well, it's all done now. I am a happy woman once again. Now on to study for pharmacology test...ugh. That's not all that fun...

what a day!

Today has been quite busy. Despite my slow morning, my afternoon was very busy with cleaning, working out, finishing up laundry, studying, and what not. Then this evening, Allen and I went out for dinner with friends from church, which was pretty tasty. =) Then, Allen and I went to Lakeside mall because I had heard that The Children's Place was having a big sale. Well, when we got there, the sale wasn't all that big. However, I was very excited because we ended up getting Skyler some really REALLY cute winter coats for next winter for only $5 each. Pretty amazing. A couple of weeks ago, I was in Old Navy and that had a 50% of all their clearance and boy did I go crazy! I ended up getting like 8-10 things for Skyler (of all sizes ranging from next winter to 2 years!). Every single thing I bought at Old Navy was less than $2, YES-less than $2. Quite amazing.

So I've been slowly working on our future nursery for our little Skyler. Actually, really all I've done so far is move the bookshelf out of our spare room and into the dining room/area. Eventually, we're giving back the futon we have to our parents to make room for a crib. (sorry--folks, if you come to sleep with us...an air mattress is all we'll have!) And then my desk will be moved eventually as well into our bedroom. So things may be a little tight in our little apartment, but it will be homey. (is that a word?? or the right spelling...probably not) Perhaps in a couple of months I'll put up pics of the nursery...if it comes out like I want it too. =)

Oh..and I hope you notice that my blog has at least taken one step forward in it's creative design. I seriously do lack the knowledge in this area, but at least I'm trying!

Lacking in the design..

So I realized that my blog does not look very "spiffy" (shall I say) compared to so many out there. And I will admit...I have no idea how to make it look better. I tried. I tried looking for new layouts and formats, but the whole html blah blah stuff confuses me. I will definitely admit that web design is NOT my forte. You can ask me about pharmacokinetics or brachial plexus and I could help you out, but this...uh, no. So bear with me as I continue to try to figure out how to make this page look nice....eventually it will look better (or at least that is what I try to tell myself). =)

Our little man

Well, we now have a name! Our little man is Skyler Jonathan Hoxie. The middle name, Jonathan, is for my dad--his first little boy! =) I'm feeling pretty good, although, please pray for our little one's brain. He has a little cyst, which I've been told by doctor is nothing to worry about due to no other complications. Of course, I want our little man to be perfect, so we're still praying for God's healing. Below are pics of Skyler and preggo (at 20 weeks) me. =D
